Daniel Jurewitz, M.D. joined Roseville Cardiology Medical Associates in August 2020. He graduated from Occidental College cum laude with a degree in Biochemistry in 2002. He attended the University of California Los Angeles School of Medicine, graduating in 2007. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The University of California - Irvine Medical Center from 2007-2010. He subsequently completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at The University of California - Davis Medical Center from 2010-2013.
From 2013 - 2020, he practiced general invasive cardiology with the Santa Barbara Cardiovascular Medical Group in Santa Barbara, California. During his seven years with the group, he served a two-year term as the practice’s president, and also served as the director of the Medical ICU and Cardiac Care Unit for one year at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, before moving his family to Granite Bay, CA.
While at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, he spent seven years as an active clinical instructor in the Internal Medicine Residency training program, routinely lecturing and providing hands-on clinical training to the residents.
Dr. Jurewitz is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a board member of The California Chapter of The American College of Cardiology (ACC), formerly functioning as the Santa Barbara County District Councilor. He is the current state Political Action Committee Chair. In 2016, the California Chapter of the American College of Cardiology awarded Dr. Jurewitz the “Leader of the Year” award for his outstanding efforts serving on the Board of Directors.
Dr. Jurewitz’s clinical focuses include, but are not limited, to invasive cardiology including cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and defibrillator management, transesophageal echocardiography, arrhythmia management, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies and congestive heart failure, consultative cardiology and preventive cardiology (diet, lifestyle modification, blood pressure and lipid management, etc.)
Dr. Jurewitz is happily married with two young sons. He is an avid surfer, skier, enjoys running and lifting weights, and has a passion for cooking and nutrition.
